Bible Study Resources

Dear Women,
It is so important for us to read the Scriptures and not be wrongly influenced by teachers, Bible scholars, popular evangelists, or other people! It is important to study and research the original intent and meaning of the Biblical author.

When we read the Bible, we should not ask ourselves, "What does this mean to me?" Certainly, God will speak to you about specific circumstances in your life. However, we cannot change His Word, or stretch and bend the truth to make it relate to us. We must read it in the context in which it was written.

If you have questions about how to read the Bible, please email a JEWELS leader at jewelsfbc@outlook.com.

Love,
The Jewels Leadership Team

Bible Study Resources

Bible Study Tools
Use Bible Study Tools to create your very own "MY BIBLE." This website allows you to read different versions, make notes, tags, highlight, and more! There are free online concordances (to help you look for a certain topic), commentaries, parallel versions (to original Hebrew and Greek), dictionaries, etc. This is an excellent resource! Please be careful to choose reliable versions!

Study Light
Studylight.org offers commentaries, parallel versions, dictionaries, and more. You may prefer some of the screen views on Study Light. Again, commentaries can be helpful, but our goal is to focus on Scripture!

Bible Gateway

Bible Gateway is a great way to compare different versions of the Bible, and has useful search tools. You can search the Bible by keywords, topics, and passages.

Got Questions?
Got Questions is a great website for asking specific questions, such as "What should we learn from the life of Moses?" or "Should a Christian woman wear a bikini?" These answers are typically very objective, always give scripture references, and are based on Biblical Truths.

Do you know of another biblically-accurate study resource? Email us to let us know about it! We may add it to this page.

Enjoy studying!
